Salvia 'Raspberry Truffle'

A breath-taking hybrid of Salvia mexicana x Salvia gesneriiflora, discovered by Andy Maycem. Yet to find its way into the UK, this is a very tall, tender, and winter-flowering, only for those with sufficient glasshouse space. Very popular in frost-free climates in California, and seems to perform brilliantly in Buenos Aires, hence the photo from Rolando Uria. Hope to try this one day, but whilst gesneriiflora will flower well here under glass...mexicana is hopeless!!!!
