Salvia leucantha 'Purple Velvet'
Perhaps this the most suitable form of S. Leucantha for Northern Europe, as it flowers a month earlier
than the others. The flowers are a glorious purple, some are almost violet. Not reliably hardy, so
cuttings should be taken. This form sets seed, probably because of its earlier flowering
period. Photo by Rolando Uria.
