Salvia radula

This is a reasonably hardy South African species, smothered with large white flowers, a real beauty! Vaguely reminiscent of S. disermas, but far superior. It grows rapidly to 4 ft x 4ft and flowers for many months from a spring sowing. Quite aromatic, and a lovely Salvia with unusual white flowers, ideally suited for a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Seeds are freely produced, but there is always a chance of hybridisation.
